Geeking out in paradise with leading global HIV researchers!

Four members of the Healthy Futures lab went to Orlando for the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care’s Adherence 2021 Conference this past weekend to connect with providers and activists working to end the HIV epidemic. Danny (pictured right) presented his poster titled “PrEP Awareness and Knowledge among Trainees in Pharmacy and Other Health Professions in South Carolina—A Key State for Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE)” and connected with pharmacists working in HIV prevention. Way to go Danny!

On Monday the Psychology department had its first Trick or Treat Lab Meet & Greet event, where undergraduate students got to learn about the benefits of starting research while at UofSC. We got to meet dozens of students who shared an interest in our lab’s mission and signed up to volunteer in the spring! We will be sending out an interest form closer to the end of the semester for students who wish to join us!
